In 2003, the Porsche platform was in the midst of a technology change where standard audio wiring was phased out and replaced with a digital system known as MOST. This stands for Media Oriented System Transport and is the current standard for multimedia and infotainment networking for a large selection of European vehicle manufacturers in the automotive industry. The difficulty is that the MOST platform is generally incompatible with aftermarket audio systems.
