The growing number of car-jacking incidents has led Automotive Integration to partnership itself with a world leader of tracking technology and release the MAPS platform. The Monitored Asset Protection System allows an owner to view their vehicle's location from a smart phone or computer anywhere in the world. The most common source of prestige vehicle theft is when an owner is away on vacation and their house gets burgled. The thief finds the car keys and simply drives the car away. Unfortunately, the owner does not know the car has been stolen until they return, which is usually too late for the authorities to have any chance of recovering the vehicle. With the MAPS product, a "Geo Fence" is established around the vehicle's location while you are away and if there is any movement outside this 10 meter perimeter, the system will automatically alert a control room who will in turn contact the police.
