OUR HISTORY

30+ Years of Automotive Precision.

Automotive Integration was founded with one goal in mind – that aftermarket electronics shouldn’t look aftermarket.

For over three decades, we’ve been at the forefront of 12V electronics. From the early days of massive amplifiers taking up entire boots, to modern vehicles with fiber-optic and data systems, we’ve maintained not only this mission, but also second-to-none integrity and customer service.

We don’t sell products, we design solutions. There’s no radio or speaker demo boards in our workshop, as we firmly believe in crafting bespoke audio solutions over just selling what’s sitting on the shelves.

We’re meticulous in every aspect of our business. Any workshop can put photos of flashy cars on their site, but every photo that we post or use is an installation that was performed in our workshop.

OUR PROMISE

Excellence backed by a lifetime guarantee.

From Alfa to Volvo and everything in-between, every car is treated with the same care and respect. Every project is governed by three core principles.

Lifetime Labour Warranty

Warranty work does not pay, which is why we make sure the job is done right the first time. To give our client’s maximum peace of mind, we back the quality of our workmanship with a lifetime installation warranty.

Factory Methodology

We know that the only other people who see our work are the service departments and dealers. This means that we use OEM spec tape, routing channels and mounting points to mimic the factory standard.

Rigorous Testing

Every product we recommend is tested thoroughly on our bench through a range of different use cases and conditions before it ever touches your car. This ensures that we can back every product we recommend and ensure compatibility with sensitive vehicle electronics.

Integration,
not installation

We pride ourselves on taking every step to provide the highest quality work for our clients. We’re often asked about the tape that can be seen covering panels on cars in our workshop. This is a special protective layer we place on any surface we are likely to work near or handle, but won’t damage paint, leather or plastic when removed. It takes time and effort to be perfect, and this helps us do that.

A Note from the Director

"Whilst some try to copy our techniques and others our slogans, we find that there is still no substitute for the original. We are only bound by your imagination and budget."

Jon Bergman
Director

I established Automotive Integration to bridge the gap between what manufacturers offer and what owners truly want. We respect the factory aesthetic above all else.

My team consists of highly trained perfectionists. We understand that we aren't just working on cars; we are working on people's dreams and investments. That is the standard we set every single day.

THE ENGINEERING TEAM

MEET THE SPECIALISTS.

Taking care of every installation is our staff of world-class perfectionists. Each of our staff are trained on delivering the highest quality installations using our factory methodology, creating a team that cares about your car as much as you do.

Managing Director

Jon Bergman

Jon initially studied accounting, before going back and completing engineering electronics, specialising in military systems, and combining those two knowledge bases into several successful automotive businesses over the years. This has given him an incredible eye for detail and a perfectionist streak that cannot be rivalled. Having been in the industry for over 40 years, Jon either knows or can learn just about anything to do with automotive electronics. While we’re non-brand specific here, Jon speciality is European marques with an affinity for Porsche and has been tech supporting Porsche since it was Hamilton’s.

Outside of work, Jon enjoys cooking, racing cars, training and teaching martial arts, AFL (go Bombers!) and spending time with his family.

Workshop Manager

Matt Tannahill

Matt studied robotics and computer science, before diverting his career to combine his passions for electronics, audio, and unique challenges. He loves tackling interesting problems and is our resident DSP tuning expert. With nearly a decade of automotive experience and almost 20 years of electronics knowledge, Matt has an encyclopaedic understanding of nearly all things that need power. Initially a self-proclaimed “not a car guy” he’s developed a love of cars while here, preferring the weird and wonderful over the usual suspects.

On the weekends Matt can be found golfing, cooking, lamenting Carlton’s position on the ladder and spending time with his wife and (soon) daughter.

Installation Specialist

Joel Henriquez

Joel’s passion for JDM and working on cars has made him a natural fit here, and he excels at the more mechanical side of what we take on. Having completed his Automotive Electrical apprenticeship here he’s happy to tackle our larger install projects and has an excellent ability to lay out our big 4×4 builds. He’s also our in-house paint specialist, and has been instrumental in getting the perfect finish on our custom fabrication projects over the years.
Outside of work you may bump into Joel at a car show or a drift meet, and if not then he’s usually working on his own restoration projects

Junior Technician

Lachlan Brodie

Our newest and youngest member of the team, Lachlan has already taken to this industry very quickly and has a natural affinity for our installation processes. He’s a lover of all things Lamborghini, as well as using his own VF Commodore for testing some of our more esoteric build ideas. Lachlan also has an eye for photography, and has been responsible for a lot of the more professional-looking images on our socials.
Lachlan is an avid karter and sim racer, and when not doing either of those he’s usually watching some form of motorsport.
