The new Cayman GT4 is undoubtedly one of the hottest coupes to come out of the Porsche stable of late. With a mid mounted flat 6 from the 911 Carrera S shoe-horned in behind the driver and a half roll cage, this car is all about the track. However these days, these types of cars are still tame enough to drive on the roads as an every day form of transport. Unfortunately rear park assist was not an option on this vehicle so one of our local Porsche dealers contacted us to see what we could do. The AIS park assist system offers a neat retro fit park assist solution without the risk of data interference wit the car's delicate electronics. The stand alone system has an audible beeper to notify the driver of objects behind the vehicle. The beeping will start at 1.2 meters and speed up as the object gets closer until a solid tone is heard at 30 centimeters indicating it is time to stop.
