The Maserati MC12 and the inaugural Hawaian Autoshow.

I had the pleasure of attending the first ever Hawaiian Autoshow to meet with some Pacific region dealer networks. While I was there, I had the rare opportunity to see the MC12 Stradale. This was a limited build supercar that was produced to allow Maserati to enter the FIA GT series of racing. A small number of road going vehicles ever made it out of Europe. With a 6.0 litre V12 engine that produced 460 Kw (620Bhp) , it could propel the car from 0-100 Km/h in just 3.7 sec and had a top speed of 330 Km/h. Seeing this car up close was a real privilege. Please see the pictures from the Autoshow below.

Mini Cooper cabrio smart top roof controller

While the mini has the ability to open the top from the factory key, the driver cannot close it from the same key. With the SmartTOP module, the driver can not only close it from the key but can also single  tap the switch in the car and the roof mechanism will open to the sunroof position or double tap for the roof to fully open. This means no longer will the driver have to pull over and hold the switch until the roof has finished it's operation. The SmartTOP will allow the roof to operate while the car is moving up to a preset speed. In all, SmartTOP is all about convenience.
