Probably one of the more challenging jobs we have ever been approached to do was a sound upgrade without changing the appearance of this super car. The client had contacted Automotive Integration and informed us of his intention to purchase this vehicle. He stated that the car, while possessing mind blowing permanence, had a less than impressive sound system by his standards. He stated that the ability to improve the sound system while retaining the original look was conditional to him purchasing the car. The Ferrari 458i was realistically designed to be a cutting edge performance super car and every available space was used by some form of computer or module not leaving us many options with space. At Automotive Integration, we thrive on the challenge of doing something that has been put in the "too hard" basket by others. We retained the original audio source unit as it is integrated into the vehicles information screen. The next step was to redirect the speaker wiring through 2,200 watts of Rockford Fosgate amplification being delivered to new front and rear German Maestro component speakers. With a lot of custom work and creative placement, we managed to exceed the expectations of our audiophile client while returning the car looking untouched.
